Remember when I first got my DSLR camera?
I said that I would take an online class to learn how to use it. And guess what! I finished it.
I took a free course from Alison.com, Diploma in Digital Photography. It took me about 10 to 15 hours total, split up over the last month. And now I’m done.
I’d say I learned a few things. I’m still playing around with my camera’s manual mode and experimenting to see how each setting affects things, but overall, I’d say I understand my camera a little better.
When I first started, I had no idea what any of the buttons did. I mostly used the camera’s Food and Macro modes. Now I can toggle between different settings and see what they do. Though, I’m far from being a professional.
I think it will take me a lot more time and a few more classes before I can be a confident DSLR photographer.
I think I will shift gears a little, as far as classes go, and go through Google’s Free Analytics Academy. As my blogs grow and I find my writing groove, I’ll want to learn how to better manage my site so I can reach my audience a little better.
I enjoy learning, and I’m happy that there are so many free classes available online. Are you taking any free classes right now? What classes stand out to you? Let me know in the comments below!
