It’s been a while since I’ve given any shop updates. In the last little while, I’ve played around with my new camera. Now that I’ve got the hang of my new lens, I’m taking pictures to give my shop a fresh look.
This week I retook pictures of my book page pendants and realized that I haven’t added them to my blog shop yet. They’re available to purchase on Etsy, but until recently, they were not available to purchase directly from my site here.
Now you can buy from either shop at your convenience, so feel free to check them out!
These particular book page pendants came from my massive dictionary. In my years as a librarian, I accumulated quite a few old books that no one else wanted. An enormous Webster’s dictionary looked impressive on my shelve for a while, but it soon took up too much space that was better dedicated to my favorite trilogies and series.
I didn’t have the heart to abandon my dictionary completely. So I put it to good use and started making necklaces out of the pages. Now I have lots of fun looking for descriptive words with unique definitions. The yellowed pages of the dictionary made for a vintage aesthetic that I couldn’t get enough of.
I have yet to plumb the depths of my dictionary’s vast collection of words. Although my dictionary doesn’t have every word in existence, it does have quite a few that you won’t see listed here. If you want a custom dictionary necklace, feel free to reach out to me through my contact page and we can work something out!
If you’re not a fan of dictionary definitions, I also have a few necklaces that I’ve pulled from an old copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone. Or I have a collection of pieces carved from avocado pits. I hope you can find something that suits your fancy.
