101 Posts! Woot Woot!

Wow! I’ve done it.

I’ve reached 100 posts.

Back in the old days of my JenniBeeMine site, I made a fun little doodle to commemorate my 100th post. And you’re looking at it.

Glorious isn’t it?

I drew that with my finger on a Samsung Tablet. I don’t think I even had a stylus. I’m pretty sure I just used my finger at the time.

It’s pretty wobbly and scribbly. But I think it reflected a simpler time – back when my blog didn’t have much of a purpose. It was just a place for me to put stuff about me, and it made me happy to do it.

Oh Dear. I Miscounted.

My mistake.

Today’s post is actually 101, not 100. I guess a post about my bread blog snuck in before I had a chance to get this up.

No worries.

I’ll just make a new doodle to commemorate the moment.

I used my iPad to draw it this time, and I’d like to think that I’ve improved somewhat. I know it’s not much because I didn’t have a lot of time on hand. But it was fun to make anyway.

So What’s Happening Now?

I honestly don’t know. I think I may ramble for a bit, so feel free to ignore it. Or do whatever you want. That’s up to you.

With my old Jennibeemine blog, back before it crashed and I lost just about everything content-wise, my blog was an odd mix of book reviews, recipes, DIYs, and personal adventures. I wanted it to be a place where I could give a younger version of me some advice – things I wish I had known before I learned how to do them.

With my current blog, it’s still an odd mix of reviews, recipes, DIYs, and personal adventures. And I still kind of aim my content toward a younger version of me. So I guess that much is the same.

However, I’d like to think that maybe my content has improved a bit over the years. Like my doodle. There was nothing wrong with the old one. It was cute in its own way. But I think I’ve grown, and my new blog has grown with me.

Where Am I Going From Here?

Again, I’m not sure. I can easily see my blog continuing with its messy disorganized style for a long time. Recipes here. Photography tips there. A random post about how to clean a toilet or a muffin tin may pop up from time to time. Maybe I’ll start recommending books once more.

But I can also see my blog being a safe place for my family to stop by and see what’s happening in my life. Maybe one day my daughter will pop on because she wants to make our family favorite chocolate chip cookies. Or perhaps my mom will come over and read about my favorite slow cooker meals and discover which ones are great for saving in the freezer.

I’d like to think that my blog could also be a nice place for people who were like younger version of me. Maybe they want to see my drawing processes so they can learn how to better themselves as artists. Maybe they want to see my photography tips so they don’t have to scour the Internet for a good tutorial. Or maybe they just want to read my ramblings because they sound a little like their own internal dialogue.

I don’t know where I’m going.

But I’m excited to find out.
