I confess I’m a little stir-crazy with all the self isolation and social distancing going on. I know I’m not a social person, but I do like to go out every once in a while.
In my desperation to achieve some kind of normalcy, I’ve been baking a lot of bread. And I mean a LOT of bread.
Mostly I make sourdough, since yeast seems to be hard to find on the shelves these days. My latest go-to sourdough recipe is actually one I make from sourdough discard. No need to waste my precious sourdough starter or all-purpose flour.
The bread turned out so pretty that I couldn’t help myself and I took a lot of photos. As soon as I was done with my little bread photo-shoot, I cut into that loaf and devoured it with my family.
If you want to make some tasty sourdough discard bread, too, you can find the recipe (as well as a few others) on my BreadbytheHour.com site right now.
