Wow! Has it really been more than a month since my last post?
It’s crazy how quickly time flies by when I’ve been a busy bee.
I’m so happy I took a break from blogging during the last while. It definitely did wonders for my mental health. I had a lot more time to focus on other things that I enjoy. Now I’m coming back and ready to find my groove.
What’s Happened During My Hiatus
During the last month, my daughter started preschool at our local rec center, and I’ve been using that time to exercise and get into a good headspace. Additionally, our rec center has some gorgeous flower beds, and I’ve had lots more time to just take pictures of bees with my clip-on lens*, and that makes me pretty happy overall.
I’ve also been playing around with some of my favorite recipes, tweaking them until they’re just right. I’m excited to start sharing them with everyone, so stay tuned for more fun posts.
Breaks Are Good for Mental Health
I think taking a small break from writing has been great for my mental health this year. After all the positives I’ve experienced, I’m certain I’ll take more breaks in the future. The occasional hiatus lets me step away from the day-to-day grind and appreciate the little things in my life that inspire me to write in the first place.
If I disappear for a few months at a time, don’t worry. I haven’t given up on my blog. I’m just taking time to myself. Blogging feels very much a part of me, so I likely won’t ditch it entirely in pursuit of a new hobby.
