Oh boy! I’m so excited to finally be doing this! I have a new hand-carved avocado stone necklace for sale. It’s available in my shop and you can buy it on Etsy.
I’m not exactly sure what to call this one, to be honest. I’ve seen these triple spiral patterns called triskels, triskeles, and triskelions. Whatever you like to call them, I think they’re really cool. I love Celtic stuff, but I’m pretty sure this is older than the Celts? I guess it’s time to brush up on my history and read a little bit more about them on Wikipedia.
I was really proud of the finished design by the way. I free-handed this one, and in case you didn’t know, it’s kind of hard to carve a balanced triple spiral. Usually when I try, I make one leg way too big or another one as kind of a weird wiggle.
I know this isn’t perfect, but I’m happy to see this one done and in my store.
